What is ‘Silent Rustles’?

‘Silent Rustles’ is an initiative to acknowledge and realise small ideas towards documentation and skill-building. Like providing a conducive environment for a seed to germinate.

The idea is to create an online library map, a collation of various valuables in form of people, places or practices that are documented and which serve as references. While there are individuals and groups taking up such documentation as passion projects, Silent Rustles Fellowship is an initiative to encourage small observations and ideas for documentation.

Why a Fellowship ?

Collective exploration and shared learning is joyful. A process involving a sense of work greater than the individual. A fellowship will bring together persons from different disciplines towards learning and sharing.

For many of us to whom a word of encouragement, direction through discussion and some monetary support to begin our exploration could mean a new phase. Therefore a fellowship to become the bridge between the idea and the action (initiation).

A fellowship would create a structure that could provide a guided methodology for a passionate project; ensuring we take steps forward.

Silent Rustles Fellowship

What is ‘Silent Rustles Fellowship’ ?

The Fellowship is a tiny step towards creating an open repository of indigenous values about people, places and practices.

The intent is to explore the possibilities of documentation across the country, using what we have around us towards capacity-building. The fellowship is a programme to bring two distinct objectives : capacity building and documentation.
