Laxmi Niwas is an engineer’s heartfelt work of making his residence. Built in 1947, the residence is made of elements inspired from Art Deco and traditional building systems. The restoration of the house, its fitments and its furnitures had been done with utmost respect to preserve the essential from the past and facilities to suit modern needs have been added sensitively. The house sits on a vast landscape of what was once a plantation, which is now a garden esigned to appeal to the five human senses.
