Outreach

Like a large banyan tree with many roots to support its sprouts, Akarmaa believes in being one such root. Providing for new growth while growing in itself. Akarmaa is open to one and all via the different activities we are involved in.

Let’s grow together…

Silent Rustles Fellowship

Silent RustlesThe “Silent Rustles Fellowship”, by Akarmaa is a platform for anyone who is keen on understanding and documenting the lesser-known narratives of people, places and practices.

The idea of the fellowship finds its roots in the possibilities of identifying potential narratives and their narrators who represent various collective values in the present context. The Fellow must find the need to conserve/sustain them in practice by assigning relevant meanings of contemporary significance.

The Fellowship is a tiny step towards creating an open repository of indigenous values about people, places and practices. The intent is to reach out to and create possibilities of work on small ideas, for imagination to lead towards action.
